Horizontal blinds should be dusted regularly to keep them looking new. Use a soft cloth, chemically treated dust cloth or feather duster. Vacuuming with a brush attachment is also recommended. Faux woods should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Do not rinse, towel dry or bath tub wash. Bass wood blinds with a painted finish can be wiped clean with a damp cloth‘s but those with a stained finish should never be exposed to water. Instead of a wood preservative to protect the finish is suggested.
 

PVC and fabric vertical blind louvers can be dusted using a feather duster or gently vacuumed using a brush attachment. PVC movers can be wiped with a damp cloth. But fabric louvers should be spot cleaned only. Vertical traps can be lubricated annually with a light spray of The Blind Man System silicone.
 

Fabric shades can be kept looking new for years by regularly dusting with a feather duster or lightly vacuuming with brush attachment.


Polyester fabric (roller shades) can be spot cleaned using a mild soapy water and a clean cloth.
